Yahoo was the first online dating-type Website I ever tried. That was way back in the 90's! They have stayed with it, and remain one of the major players in the industry.
The biggest advantages that Yahoo has over other dating Websites is that experience and the wide audience they can reach with their massive search engine. This not only gives them a huge user base, but also allows them to integrate active chat rooms and bulletin boards with their dating service. Yahoo is also generous when it comes to creating your profile (whether you are a subscriber or not). They allow you to add up to 5 photos, plus video and voice messages!
At the same time, Yahoo Personals seems a bit out of touch. Honestly, they haven't added very many features since I first used it years ago! If you want to look on the bright side, their Website is easy to use for beginners, and hey, "if it ain't broke don't fix it," right?
