With all of the affiliate sites out there, how do you go about getting the most traffic to your site?
Be original. Find both online and offline sources of traffic that no one else has tapped into. Post flyers on real bulletin boards and writeups on virtual ones. Besides, it's not about traffic, it's about signups. I'd rather have 100 visitors with a 100% conversion ratio than 1,000,000 with an 0.1% conversion ratio. This extreme example works out at 100 signups rather than 10 (and much lower bandwidth and advertising costs). This is a trap some webmasters fall into. Raw visits don't matter, clickthroughs (and even more so, downloads and deposits) are what counts.
