Tradesports is a betting exchange. The emphasis for Tradesports is very much on the "exchange" style. Instead of betting on events at normal odds, you buy "contracts". These contracts then expire ar either 100 or 0 depending on whether the event happens or not. A price of 100 is equal to $10 in real money.
Tradesports looks and feels very like a financial market, rather than a betting exchange. You can either hold your position until the contract expires or you can get out of it. Just like on Wall Street, your aim is to buy low then sell high (or sell high then buy low - you can do it in either order). The interface takes a little getting used to (as does converting their prices into odds.
Basically, it's simple division. When you're buying a contract at X your odds are 100/X if you're selling it at X, your odds are X /(100-X). It's a little complicated, but I'm usually trying to trade in and out quickly, so the price is more important to me than the odds. Still, you can sometimes find prices that are out of line with bookmakers' odds.
Tradesports take fees out of each trade, but they are very small (4 cents per $10 contract), so you're dealing with an almost frictionless market.
Trade sports cover an impressive range of events. All the normal sports are covered, along with some more unusual events, like the amount of snowfall in Central Park NY for each winter month.
The website is very easy to navigate. Once you're used to the tradesports contract system, bets are easy to place. They also offer a decent amount of information on the market, which does help to get a better feel for trading.
All up, I don't really treat tradesports as a bookmaker, although I probably should, because there are some plum odds to be had.

Bonuses:
Trade sports offers some very small deposit bonuses, depending on what method you use. Really though, these amount to little more than a refund of your fees.
