Australia has, on average, the biggest gamblers of any nation in the world. According to an article from the Economist the average Aussie lost close to $1300 gambling last year. Singapore, home of two massive new casino resorts, came in second at just under $1200 per person. Ireland was a distant third, with the Irish losing just under $600 each.
